The Herrnhuter® LED string with 10 small stars (approx. 13 cm in diameter) is a traditional, handcrafted decoration from Germany. Thanks to its durable wiring, it’s suitable for both indoor and outdoor use —you can safely hang it on your Christmas tree, pergola, balcony, or in your windows.
The parallel wiring ensures that even if one of the stars stops glowing, the others will continue to shine. The string is easy to install, features a dark green cable, and comes with practical clips for attaching it to branches.
An elegant Christmas decoration that brings a unique festive atmosphere to your home and garden.
Handcrafted in Germany.
The first Herrnhut star was originally made in white and red—white symbolized purity and red symbolized the blood of Christ. Today, a much wider range of colors is available. Traditional paper stars are available in five sizes (from 13 cm to 80 cm) and seven color variations.
The Herrnhut star —also known as the Moravian or Ochranov star —originated more than 160 years ago in the village of Herrnhut (Ochranov) in Germany. Religious refugees from Moravia settled there. This star is considered the “mother of all Christmas stars.” Originally, children made them in schools, and later passed the tradition on to their parents.
During Advent and Christmas, original Herrnhut stars adorn churches, towns, and town squares. With this star, you’ll bring not only a beautiful decoration into your home, but also a piece of history. The original has a total of 25 points —17 square ones and 8 triangular ones. Lighting is installed in place of the 26th point.
