Apples are the traditional symbol of Christmas decorations
We were honoured by the Czech national TV channel, Česká televize, to visit us and film the journey of our ornaments. And the story of our apples
appealed to the reporters the most!
The production of glass blown ornaments has spread to the Czech Republic in the middle of the 19th
century from neighbouring Germany. And the Czech masters of blown and hand-painted glass ornaments learned this skill very soon too. Over the time, their creations began to conquer the world. Until now, this almost fairy-tale beauty is born in our family owned glass factory GLASSOR. Please accept our invitation to discover how are our masterpieces made. Together we looked to the production to find out how snowy or colourful tree decorations are created.
At the beginning is a glass tube. After it is heated, a semi-finished product is formed, the so-called extraction, which is actually a body of all ornaments. It is then used for blowing all other shapes. You can also watch the adornment decorations and learn what material and brushes are used by the painters.
