LED candles can be used
For added safety or to achieve a longer lighting effect, we recommend the use of LED tea lights. LED candles are a suitable alternative to conventional tea lights, they do not generate heat, making the lantern safe for homes with children or pets.
Safety instructions for use
Changing the candle - When changing a tea light candle (whether conventional or LED), do not remove the aluminium handle from the lantern. This handle must be securely fastened to the lantern and helps keep the candle in the correct position.
Use of suitable candles - We recommend that you only use special tea lights available as spares in our shop. These candles are designed specifically for this type of lantern and meet safety and functional requirements. For LED candles, select the appropriate size model to ensure stability and proper positioning of the candle in the holder.
Replacing or Removing a Handle - If the customer replaces the aluminum handle with another handle, removes it, or uses a candle other than the recommended one, a claim cannot be made. Changing the handle or using an unsuitable candle may result in damage to the lantern and loss of functionality.
Lantern placement - Always place the lantern on a stable and non-flammable surface away from children and pets.
Safe distance - Make sure there is no flammable material (curtains, tablecloths, etc.) around the lantern and avoid contact of the wax lantern with direct heat or sunlight.
Extinguishing the candle - If you are using a traditional tea light candle, always extinguish it before leaving or moving the lantern. Turn off LED candles when not in use.
Indoor use - The wax lantern is intended for indoor use only at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C, away from direct sunlight and other heat sources such as heaters, fireplaces or stoves.
